Artist's Comments

Inspired from a film called: The Blue Lagoon.

im sort of working backwards as if I was an illustrator of conceptual artists for a film project. normally you would have to do the concept art before the film is actually filmed but since im not very inspired or motivated at the moment, i chose to see a film and the do its ''concept art/illustrations'' before the scenes are filmed.

inspired after talking to my friend: :iconsilveraxe: Thanks!! :D

gave it 30 minutes

i think it wud be better if the colours were more vibrant, vivid, dont be afriad to use strong yellows, greens ect. especially where the light is just keep mixin them in, then all of a sudden u will have a very dramatic peice, as its sort of a foresty place, theres all sorts u cud add in there, leaves, stone, twigs, grass ect. butterflies.. it wud probably be better if the light source was comin from the top left aswell i think, not straight down the middle, off set it a bit, it will give it more depth, just dont be afraid to use strong colors, look at pictures of forest lit up, if u look closly enough u will notice where light is hit, ithrough the leaves they tend to be a strong yellow, followed by a strong green, then gradually gets darker where light isnt shining on top of, just go for it, dont be afraid to use reference, u can learn a lot from them, just use them wisely.

hey hey!! this is looking great! i think you nailed the background-foreground relation pretty good here.
i feel like there a bit of inconsistency with light though. I believe thats the moon or sun in the top middle corner. but there\'s sun rays coming from left top corner?
also im not sure if its morning or night? it its night time, its perfect -well without the sun rays that i mentioned.
if its morning, it looks like extremely overcast weather because everything is so dark.
but it looks prefect as a night piece.
